Top: Cue, Skirt: Valley Girl, Bag: Forever New, Shoes: Primark, Sunglasses: Sabo Skirt

How magnificent are these photos my personal photographer, travel buddy and sister Ashley took during our trip to Venice?! So many bright colours, and the sunset in San Marco Square was to die for.
Venice is my favorite city in whole world, there is no other place like it. It is magical, romantic and enchanting. Every street, bridge and canal is a pure work of art, and the city has been persevered and taken care of so well it feels like you are in the early 16th Century. It doesn't matter what street you find yourself in, or what bridge you cross you will always see beauty and a perfect photo opportunity!

Me in Venice in 2011
I first went to Venice with an old boyfriend a couple of years ago, and it exceeded my expectations. However, strange as it may seem I actually enjoyed the city more this time, being with my sister. It is a very romantic city, so we avoided the cliche couple things like going on a gondola ride. But we did stop for a gelato (yummmm) & pizza and I had to buy a beautiful mask to match my outfit!
Venice was the last leg of our Italian trip, and we were sad to leave. Partly because out of all the cities we visited, Venice had the most good looking men ;) We went out to a few bars and a club that night...much of it was a blur (eeek), so being hangover on a boat the next day was far from pleasurable! Next stop...Croatia <3

Formal Nights

1st: Dress-Ally, Equip necklace
2nd: Dress- Max Studio

On the ten day cruise we had 2 formal nights where everyone dresses up for dinner, followed by drinks at the bar and then eventually head down to the nightclub. It is an eventful night and it makes for great people watching! I love formal wear and it is such a novelty because I don't often get to dress up. I love this black dress, however it is very body hugging....bring on my extra holiday curves! It is made out of crochet fabric and very heavy, so it is not the most practical dress to dance in. Having a black long strapless dress is a staple item in any girls wardrobe- simple, understated and it will never go out of fashion.
The most compliments I get, isn't on what I am wearing but my hair! So if you would like a video tutorial on how to do this hair style (using a hair straightener...yes a straightener!) Comment on my Facebook wall HERE! and don't forget to like it.

Pompeii in YSL

Shirt: Saint Laurent, Leather Shorts: Zara, Hat: h&m, Sunglasses: Ray Ban, Watch: Michael Kors

After having three course meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the cruise, not to mention 3 pina coladas a day (which have about 700 calories in each) it was time to swap my dresses for a t-shirt! Not that I feel bad for over indulging, it is holidays after all! And besides the way I look at it, I am insulating my body for the cold winter in London ;)
I was always fascinated with pompeii when I was growing up, and I remember doing a school project on it. The only problem was we booked a 2 hour taxi ride/ tour to take us there and the line to get in was 1 hour so we only had an hour to look around and soak it all in. It is absolutely massive and apparently one quarter of it still needs to be excavated. If I go back there I would want a guided tour so I learn more about this history, because it is really fascinating and slightly morbid to see all the remains still in tact.

When in ROME!

Jumpsuit: Latin Clothing Co, Scarf: Valentino, Belt: borrowed from my sister, Sunglasses: Ray Ban

"Rome wasn't built in a day" and it certainly can not be conquered in one either! The advantage of going on a cruise, is that you see a lot of different cities and countries in a short amount of time. The disadvantage is that you only typically get one day in each, and when it comes to exploring Rome one day is not enough. We hit a few of the hotspots using a hop on and off bus like the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain, the colosseum and the government building. We missed out on a lot though like the spanish steps and the sistine chapel :(
My sister and I fell in love with this city and we vowed that we would return and spend a week exploring it in detail... so much pizza, pasta and gelato to be consumed! The beauty of this city is that it is so culturally and historically dense, everywhere you look there is something amazing to see.

As I previously said when it comes to packing, pack versatile pieces that you can mix and match accessories with. I previously wore this jumpsuit here in Madrid, but it looks like a different outfit because I changed belts, sunglasses and switched the hat for a scarf. When in Italy, it is ever so appropriate to wear Valentino!

Top: Forever New, Skirt: Ally, Shoes: Primark, Sunglasses: Sabo Skirt

Never worn this skirt before...but I am loving the neon! I think it was trending last season but everyone needs a neon piece in their wardrobe for that extra look at me factor :)

This was our first stop on the trip in Italy! We got off the cruise and decided to rent a car (not the smartest idea, Italian drivers are crazy!). There were 2 hotspots to see and not a whole lot of time to see them. Firstly, we drove about 1 hour and a half to the romantic city of Florence! I am ashamed to say that I recognized most of the city from watching when the cast of Jersey Shore went there! Florence was beautiful, with cobblestone roads and small streets filled with cafes, bars and restaurants. We first went to the Duomo, which is a beautiful and large cathedral. But once again, story of our lives, we could not get in because our shoulders were exposed....sux to be such a skank hey? haha
After getting lost, and trying to avoid heat stroke we went to an Irish pub of all places to have a drink. Everywhere I visit in the world I want to try their national or local drink, so they served me Apperol? It was extremely strong and quite foul :) sorry if I offended any Italians reading this.
We then hopped back into the car and drove to Pisa... A small little town with a leaning tower in the middle of it. Not much to see or do in Pisa. You basically go take your silly photos and make up creative poses and off you go! Great to see and to check off the list ;)

Next stop... ROMA!!!!
